Thank you for registering for 2025 Louisville CE Day! Overview:  6 hours of KY / IN CE between three courses with lunch! 8:30am-4pm EST. Location: Indiana Wesleyan University – Louisville Conference Center.  1500 Alliant Ave, Louisville, KY 40299.

Overview

The morning session with Scott Treen looks at several common home and auto policy concerns which may escalate during certain times of the insured’s life cycle.  Issues created by marriage (and its dissolution), having kids, making money, college, roommates, stuff in storage, entity ownership of property, assisted living and other exposures are reviewed.

Our lunch presenter is Special Agent Amy Phelps with the National Insurance Crime Bureau.  Amy’s captivating presentation will review the many facets of claims investigations; types of claims investigations, how NICB conducts a claims investigation, their partnership with law enforcement and resources utilized. At the end of this course, the insurance professional will be better able to identify insurance claims fraud, be familiar with resources available to them and actions to take.

We will wrap up the afternoon with our final CE course presented by Rick Pitts.  This will be a fast-paced and wide-ranging examination of issues connected to naming insureds correctly on insurance policies – a seemingly simple matter that has deep implications.

Schedule

8:30am- Registration (first course starts promptly at 9am- please arrive early). 

9am-12pm Marriage, Kids, Assisted Living and Everything Between – Scott Treen (3 hrs KY/IN CE). 

12pm-12:30 pm- Lunch (provided). 

12:30pm–1:30pm NICB Insurance Fraud Investigations – Special Agent Amy Phelps (1 hr KY/IN CE). 

1:45pm–3:45pm- Issues in Named Insureds - Rick Pitts with Big I KY Legal Counsel (2 hrs KY/IN CE).
